Traffic Source Caps
Traffic SourcesWhat a Traffic Source Cap Is
A traffic source cap limits the volume a traffic source
can send within a time window. Traffic source caps share
the same infrastructure as buyer caps and buyer group
caps.
Cap Types
Traffic source caps support three cap types:
- Offer conversion: caps based on offer conversions.
- Connection: caps based on connected calls.
Cap Intervals
Each cap type supports four intervals:
- Hourly: resets every hour.
- Daily: resets every day.
- Monthly: resets every month.
- Total: cumulative, never resets.
Concurrency Caps
Traffic source caps also support concurrency caps via
associated business ranges. The concurrency limit on a
business range restricts how many simultaneous calls from
this source can be active at once.
Enforcement
Caps are checked when a new lead or call arrives attributed
to the traffic source. Each cap type tracks a limit and a
used count per interval. When the used count reaches the
limit, further leads are capped.
