Owners That Use Business Ranges

Business Ranges

Where Business Ranges Attach

Business ranges can be attached to multiple types of owners
through dedicated relationship names:

  • Buyer: general business hours, and separate conversion-window hours.
  • Offer: traffic-source payout day-parts.
  • Traffic Source: per-source caps and hours.
  • Schedule: open hours during which schedule actions may run.

Empty Means Always Open (When No Schedule Is Cached)

When a buyer has no cached schedule and no business ranges
exist, it is treated as closed. In practice, buyers without
explicit hour restrictions have a cached schedule or are
flagged as always open, which causes the open check to
return true without consulting business ranges. Newly
created buyers that have not yet been assigned ranges are
treated as closed, so ranges must be created to make the
buyer routable.

Range-Level Caps Apply Only Within the Range

When a range carries hourly caps (for example, a connection
hourly limit), those caps are evaluated alongside the open
check. Caps are consumed only for calls that land inside
the range. A call that arrives outside every range of the
owner does not count against any range's caps (and in the
standard setup, does not route at all because the owner is
closed).
