How to Buy a Tracking Number

An Offer is not a hard prerequisite for purchasing a
number: you can purchase a number and attach it to a
Buyer directly, or leave it unattached and link it later.
Most tracking-number workflows do attach to an Offer, and
if you want the number to follow an existing call flow
you should create the Offer first.
Starting the Purchase
Navigate to Setup System -> Numbers in the left sidebar
(/numbers) and click on Purchase A Number.
Filling Out the Form
The form is organized into sections:
- Trackdrive Attributes. Select an Offer (which determines how inbound calls are routed) and an optional Traffic Source to attribute calls.
- Choose **Toll Free Number or Local Number, then Select Area Code or Toll Free Prefix,.
- Bulk Number Order. How many numbers you would like to purchase, with a maximum of 20 numbers per order.
- Order Summary displays the monthly rental rate, setup rate, bulk order count, free numbers remaining on your plan, paid numbers, and total cost.
Confirming the Purchase
Click Place Order to submit the form. TrackDrive
reserves the number at the provider, creates the local
number record, and configures the inbound webhook at the
provider so incoming calls are delivered to Trackdrive.
Billing for the number rental begins immediately.
Verifying the Purchase
Once purchased, the new Number appears at Setup System ->
Numbers (/numbers). Click it to open the detail page,
which shows the international formatted number, the
provider, and the routing destination. At this point
the number is live and ready to receive calls.
